CAMPER:

Rising 2nd - Incoming 9th graders

CAMP DESCRIPTION: 

Campers will have the opportunity to sharpen their baseball skills through drills led by Hutto Hippos Head Baseball Coach, Hollis Stringer, former head coach Peter Schmidt, and assistant baseball coach, Chris Pisella, as well as a few former players as well. Camp programs include on-field group sessions that focus on baserunning, fielding, throwing, and hitting. The baseball camp will incorporate small-group training as well as individual drills that will help each player improve and learn the game of baseball. This camp is designed to give campers the proper instruction and guidance to help them reach their full potential as baseball players and students.

DESCRIPTION OF INSTRUCTOR(S): 

Coach Stringer is taking over at the helm this year after leading the Elgin Wildcats baseball program for the past 5 years (eight years at Elgin total). Coaching with discipline and sportsmanship, he believe that everyone has value to the game of baseball and deserves to enjoy the lifelong lessons that it teaches. Coach Peter Schmidt has over 28 years of coaching at the high school level along with Coach Chris Pisella (Hutto HS Graduate) looking forward to another year of Hutto Baseball.

WHAT TO BRING:

Participants should bring their glove, bat, helmet, baseball pants, cleats, water bottle and a hat. If you are unable to bring the listed equipment, please reach out to Coach Stringer (hollis.stringer@huttoisd.net) we will do our best to accomodate.
